1 MONTH!

Trenton is 1 month already! Well tomorrow that is, but close enough. It is crazy how fast time goes. He is already around 9lb 4 oz (2lbs more than birth weight). I just weighed myself and then held him and weighed myself again so I don't know how accurate it is. He has already out grown newborn diapers and a pack of his newborn onsies. He is quickly growing out of his newborn clothes which makes me sad because some of his cutest outfits are newborn. But I am excited with what comes with a baby getting older. He is awake more often and can keep eye contact better. He is lifting up his head quite a bit. Ben and I just want him to start smiling already :) Trenton already has quite the personality. His likes are: His binki. It is like the end of the world to him if his binki falls out. He doesn't cry, but he fusses really bad. He likes sleep, but also likes to fight sleep. Kind of a difficult thing, but once he is asleep he will sleep for hours if he is on his stomach and for almost as long if he is on his side. He likes to sleep on our bed. He likes to sleep on his daddy's chest. He loves to grunt and squeak. I've never known a baby to make so much noise. It is very entertaining. He likes getting his hair washed. He gets very relaxed when we wash his hair. He LOVES music, ecspecially primary songs with Christmas a close second. He instantly calms down as soon as I start singing to him or we start playing music. He likes to pass gas like an old man. He has let some go that could give any full grown adult a run for their money. It is gonna be embarassing when we start to bring him out places because no one is going to believe that it was the baby. And lastly he likes the lights on Christmas trees. He just lays there totally calm and stares at them. His dislikes are: sleeping on his back. He will wake up in a few minutes if he is asleep on his back. He HATES bath time, except for his hair getting washed. He does not like to get his diaper changed. He does not like to sleep in his cradle. If he is not in the deepest sleep possible, he will wake up as within 2 minutes of putting him in there. I don't let him sleep on our bed till after 6am because I don't want him to be that baby that sleeps in our bed till he's 2 or 3. And I swear this kid has a built in clock because he starts fussing every morning between 6 and 6:15, even if he just ate at 5. He falls asleep the secong I pull him into bed with us unless he is hungry. For the most part he is a pretty chill kid. He has his times where he has to be held, but he is pretty content with laying by himself just as long as he has his binki. The only thing that has me worried about him is that he chokes often (3-6 times a day.) The doctor said that if he keeps it up we need to bring him in to get checked for reflux problems. Hopefully it will go away though. All in all Ben and I love Trenton to know end. He is the greatest blessing in our lives and we are so happy to have him in our lives!

Announcing Trenton Isaac Fawcett!

Trenton Isaac Fawcett was born on Thursday evening. He was 7lbs 4 oz and 20 in long. On Halloween I went to the doctors for my weekly check up and I had not progressed at all from the week before. Ben was getting anxious and I was getting rather uncomfortable so I had him strip my membranes to move things along (if you don't know what that means don't feel bad because I didn't either unitl a few months ago). All that day I walked around with minor contractions, but I had been having that for almost 3 weeks so I didn't think much about it. Then at 2 in the morning I felt a drop so I hurry and stood up out of bed and my water broke. I've never seen Ben wake up so quickly. After waking up my mom and cleaning up we headed off to the hospital. my contractions picked up fast and were 2 min apart, but they slowed down once I got in bed. Ben's parents got to the hospital around 5 and the waiting game began. I didn't get my epidural for awhile because I hear they slow labor down. So around 11 I got my epidural when the contractions got bad. By 3 I was so sick of just chillin in bed. Also my epidural wore off in my lower back and I was in a lot of pain. I got a shot of liticain and that helped A LOT, but only lasted for a little over an hour befor my left side regained feeling. Then they gave me a shot of something else and it helped a little but then I started pushing at 5 and was in a lot of pain. I don't know why people go with out an epidural "just to say they did it with out one", I'm sorry but that is just dumb to put yourself through that pain for pride reasons. I've heard people say they don't get one because you recover faster, or you feel closer and more connected with your baby and that I can understand and I say more power to you. Anyway at 6:25 our little man was born and he came out very healthy looking. It was a good thing he came out when he did because I felt like punching the docotor and the nurses because for an hour and a half they kept saying "Good job, you are almost there." An hour and a half of hearing that when you are in major pain gets quite annoying, but that is besides the point. Trenton came out healthy looking and didn't even cry at first. Just came out with wide eyes and taking in the world. He did fuss after about 30 seconds when they were cleaning him off but he stopped once they laid him on my chest. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. We stayed at the hospital until Saturday morning and then came home. The first night home he woke up every hour and a half, but the next night he slept in 3 hour stretches and now he is sleeping in 4 hour stretches so I can not complain at all. My favorite things about him are: he only cries when getting his diaper changed. He does get fussy in the evening because of an upset tummy, but nothing too bad. He loves to lay on people's tummys to sleep, especially his daddy's. He makes funny cute noises all the time He always puts his hands around his face which usually results in him holding his binki in all by himself. Ben and I love having this little bundle of joy with us and wouldn't change it for the world. It also has been very helpful to have my mom here helping us out. Very thankful to her for that.

The 3rd Trimester Blues (Don't read if you don't like complaining)

So I was VERY blessed with my pregnancy compared to some stories I hear. I would only get sick if I didn't eat and I only threw up once in my first trimester. My second trimester was a little rough at the beginning with migranes twice a week, but that was only for about 3 weeks. I would get acid reflux/heart burn once in a while but nothing that a few tums wouldn't fix. Other than that I had no problems with being pregnant. I thought to myself "Why do people make pregnancy sound so bad?" And then I reached the third trimester. Once I was in my third trimester I got KILLER acid reflux. Tums did very little, but milk worked. And then my body so kindly decided to become lactose intolerant. So the milk ended and of course my chocolate cravings kicked up to high heaven which makes acid reflux even worse. NO BUENO! I also developed carpal tunnel. Not too bad at first, but now I can't feel my right finger tips ever and if I ever do anything where my wrist has to move over and over, I get a pain that shoots up to my elbow. I was lucky to find a way, up till about 7 1/2ish months, to sleep on my stomach (I would just put the weight a little to the side) but that ended and now I pretty much don't sleep at night. I also can't sleep on my back because I have killer lower back pain when I lay flat on my back even when I am not pregnant (thanks to not knowing how to lift weights properly in high school). And up until about 4 days ago I was totally fine with all of these problems. I just told myself, "Hey it's pregnancy, you've been blessed with a fairly easy pregnancy so just live with it." But now I am just getting sick of it. I am ready for this little guy to come out so I can sleep on my stomach, feel my fingers, drink milk/eat ice cream, and not have a burning esophagus all the time. I know I shouldn't complain because I have been blessed with a fairly easy pregnancy. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be pregnant. I feel sorry for the women who try and try and can't get pregnant. So I know I shouldn't complain, but sometimes I am just ready to be done being pregnant. Most of all I am excited to hold my cute little man in my arms and look at him. I do also LOVE feeling hime kick and move around. At first it was kinda weird feeling, but now I get worried if he doesn't move. I also love seeing how happy Ben gets when the baby kicks or decides to make my stomach do the wave. It's so cute. He is going to be a very loving Dad and I love it. I still have two weeks left, but I am 80% effaced wich can mean 2 days or 3 weeks. We will see. Well that is the end of my complaints, sorry to sound like a Debbie Downer. In all reality I am very happy to have the blessing of being pregnant.

Our Fantastical Vacation

On September 5th we started our vacation by going to the East Idaho State Fair. In case you didn't know this is a HUGE thing. People come from all over to this thing. It was a lot of fun and we got to hang out with Ben's family which we hadn't done in awhile. One thing Ben and I really really wanna buy from the fair and we planned to do it this year, but we had to spend $100 on a new car battery for Ben's car, is a temple picture from these people who have AWESOME pictures. This isn't necessarily the one we want to buy, but it's the only picture I can find online and it is still really pretty We then spent the night at Ben's parents house cause the fair is 10-15 minutes away from there house, plus it was an hour closer to our 10 hour drive ahead of us. We woke up and were on the road by 7:30 and stopped in Provo to hang out with my brother Tyler and meet his then unofficial fiance and now official fiance. She's a cute girl and really nice. They are getting married in December. Hope she's ready to be married into the Orme family cause she hasn't met most of us and only my parents via skype, but that is enough to get to know how weird we are I guess. Haha jk. Anyway so we then continued our long drive down to Las Vegas. We got there and we were DYING with how hot it was. How I used to live in that kind of weather, I do not know, but being pregnant probably didn't help. We stayed there for 2 nights and were able to walk around on the strip. It was not Ben's favorite place in the world, but I think the heat had a huge thing to do with it and he wasn't able to see it at night when it looks really cool, but we were too tired to go out at night. Then on Saturday morning we were able to get on a plane to my lovely home, Hawaii. I didn't realize how much I missed it till I went back. My parents were kind enough to pay our tickets out there in exchange for us painting there garage. (I know I broke a huge pregnancy rule of not painting while pregnant, but I looked it up and there is no proven side effects of it people just assume that the fumes are not good for you. But I was outside in Hawaii where it is very breezy and it was water based and it's not like paint has lead in it anymore. So I figured it was fine.) So after a week of work and a little play we got the garage done and had the next week all for playing. On Sunday one of my good friends was kind enough to do a maternity shoot for me and I LOVED the pictures. Here are some of my favorites. If you live in Hawaii and you need a photographer go to this girl, http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Jennifer-Lemalu-Photography/474270945925075 cause she is fantastic. Then on Monday we were able to go to the PCC(Polynesian Cultural Center) for free thanks to a wonderful old man in our ward who has worked there I think since it opened. It was Ben's first time and we had a lot of fun. I forced him to get one of the tattoos in the Maori village cause you can't go to PCC for your first time and not get one. Haha. But here are some pics of the occassion (I am really bad at remembering to take picture or being creative with pictures so there are not too many pics from our vacation so enjoy these. haha.) Ben really enjoyed the whole thing, so did I, I just have been there multiple times before. The rest of the week we just chilled and enjoyed being on vacation. We went to the beach and Ben went "snorkeling". He just used goggles and went by the edge of the reef to look for fish. Like I said earlier I am bad at taking pics so I don't have any pictures. Sorry. Hopefully once baby comes I will get better at taking pictures :) Another thing Ben got to experience was a Kahuku football game. It was a lot of fun and we of course crushed the other team. Ben also discovered his new favorite food, a loco moco. I told him I would make them for him once I learned how to make good gravy. But he LOVED them and wanted one every day. haha. Then on the 21st we sadly had to come back home to real life :( We landed in vegas at 11 pm and didn't get on the road till midnight and then we drove straight through till Rexburg. It is a 10 hr drive. We were up for 25 hrs and 18 hrs were spent driving with me having a 30 min namd and Ben have a 1 hr and 30 min nap, but Ben did most of the driving. When we got home we slept...a lot. haha. Then the next morning Ben went back to work and I went to church and got called to teach CTR 7. Now we are just waiting for the baby to come!! Only 30 more days! Kind of insane but very exciting thought that we could be parents very soon, but we are hoping he holds off till my mom comes on the 25th.

Baby Fawcett is on his/her way!!!

At the end of February Ben kept asking me to take a pregnancy test because I was showing signs of being pregnant. I told him that the test wouldn't show anything for sure for another couple of days but I decided to take it to make him happy. After taking it we went to look at the results and it showed nothing. Not negative or positive. I figured that's what we get for buying Walmart brand of a pregnancy test. The next morning I woke up for work (3:30 in the morning) and I glanced at the garbabge for no reason and saw the test was positive and I started freaking out. I scared Ben to death and we decided that I would take another test after work. The second test showed up positive in two seconds. After doing the math I guessed the baby to be due at the end of November. Ben guessed the beginning of November. Well we just went to the doctors today for our 8 week appointment and after getting poked and prodded I was told I was 11 weeks and 6 days. So Ben was right of hoping and I was wrong because I was told how to calculate how far along you are, wrong. So our little guy/girl is due November 1!! I am happy that I am 11/12 weeks along because I am not getting fat at 8 weeks for no reason and also that it is not twins. I was sooo happy when I only saw one baby! Ben is disappointed but he has been right on everything else in this pregnancy so I get to be right for once. Haha. We are super excited and cannot wait for the baby to come. We are moving into a town home (just renting) May 2 so that way we don't have to move at all for the rest of our time in Rexburg. Ben also wanted me to include that there are polygamists that go to our doctor's office. Haha. That is what's new in the Fawcett's life :) Here are some pics of the little one. He/she has chubby cheeks :)

Also luckily I have not really had morning sickness too bad, I am just extremely tired ALL THE TIME!

Jon & Janinca's wedding

About a month ago Ben and I drove down to Arizona for my older bro's wedding. It was a ton of fun. We spent Christmas with Ben's family and so I was really happy to be able to see all my family and some extended family too. I was able to see some friends that I hadn't seen in years so it was really fun. Also we, yes including Ben, really enjoyed the perfect weather! If only it could be like that year round then I could convince Ben to move to Mesa. Haha. That will never happen, he dies if it gets over 80 degrees. Anyway I was so happy to see Jon and Janica get married. They are THE perfect couple. They are so cute and happy together. The day of was quite amusing though. Jon forgot his temple recommend and lost his wedding ring (don't worry Janica just took a bolt and made it into a ring because they both knew Jon would lose his multiple times through out his life so they will just keep making him 10 cent rings. Haha) Ryan went back to Jon's house and luckily found his recommend and Jon borrowed a friends wedding ring for the actual ceremony. It was beautiful and it was so nice to see the two married for time and all eternity. Here is the happy couple coming out of the temple. .
Then the adorable nephews and nieces all matching
It was awesome to see friends and family and awesome to see these two married. I love Janica to death. She is the best thing for Jon and she gets along with everyone so well. And yes we now have a Jon & Janica along with a Jason & Jenica and then there is me with another J name. Another sign that Janica just belongs in our family. Haha

Our wedding

I know I didn't ever post about our wedding but that is just sooo many pictures to upload. But I will say that it was awesome and beautiful and I loved it so much. We got married on the perfect day, it was the last warm weekend of the year. It was beautiful and sunny and the next weekend it snowed. Good timing? I think so. I will post my favorite picture that was taken that day though.

And this is Ben's favorite picture of the day.

We went on a cruise to Mexico for our honeymoon. It was a ton of fun. I don't have any pictures of it though because I don't know where the sd card is from the trip. (I'm not so great on the whole picture taking thing and keeping track of them). But to say the least it was fun and amazing and WARM! I am really missing the warmth about now even though it has been an exceptionaly warm winter.
So that was our wedding in a nutshell. If you want to see all the wedding pictures they are on Ben's facebook and quite a few on mine. Sorry I am so lazy :P I really need to get better at this whole blogging thing.
